Football post.

If you are one of those who goes “Oh no, not another football post Jaryn!” when you visit my blog, due reasons which might include the fact you do not get why I can get excited watching 44 balls chasing after one ball, or that you are a Liverpool fan and just loathe reading all things United, or that you prefer golf to football, or you reckon watching anime is much better, or you think watching football is a waste of precious time studying for your finals, or that your boyfriend is cuter than Cristiano Ronaldo, or simply fact that football just does not make sense to you.

Whatever your reason is, I fully respect it. And I know that there is no way I can make you love football at my own will, just like you can never convince me to buy ice-cubes if I see u in North Pole.

But I am going to go on anyway to try to make you share my love towards the best club in the world, Manchester United. LOL.

This guide will focus on Manchester United (which if you have not already noticed, Manchester United is referred to by me as United), as less or even none about football in general.

So, I present you..

Jaryn’s A to Z Guide to Manchester United!

A for Alex : Sir Alex Ferguson is United's manager. He is so CUTE when he chews his chewing gum. You can read more about him here.

B for Busby Babes :
The Busby Babes were a group of players of United who won the Championship in 1955-56. The Busby Babes were notable not only for being young and talented, but for being developed by the club itself, rather than bought. Eight of the Busby Babes died in the Munich air disaster in 1958.

C for Carrington: The Carrington is the training ground of the United players. The security to the vicinity is very tight. Very few people are allowed inside.

D for Dimitar Berbatov : He is the new addition to the team, bought from Tottenham Hotspurs (whom by the way is now at the bottom of the Premier League table, damn). He plays the role of the striker, alongside Rooney and Tevez.

E for Eleven : Okay this one is quite obvious. Eleven players plays in a team.

F for Fuyoh : One of the many adjectives to describe United. This football club is a hell lot of a FUYOH team ok. They are so so lovable and so so kissable!!

G for Glazers : The Glazer family owns United. Like OWN United. They own United like how I own my handbags.

H for Hahaha : That is what I do when I am happy. And I am happy when United score goals. And that happens a lot.

I for Denis Irwin : He signed for United 1990, and left in 2002. He is a full-back. He established himself at the club after winning the Championship in the1992/93 season. He remains United’s second most-decorated player, with 13 winner’s medals.

J for Ji-Sung: Born in Seoul. Sir Alex had watched Ji-Sung more than 20 times before finally signing him for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £4million, in June 2005. He is a very hardworking player and that naturally makes him popular among the fans.

K for King Eric : He is Eric Cantona. He is the KING of United. Every United fan adore him for he is so amazing a player, so rich a character. In 2004 Cantona was quoted as saying, "I'm so proud the fans still sing my name, but I fear tomorrow they will stop. I fear it because I love it. And everything you love, you fear you will lose."

L for Let me watch : Okay so by “Let me watch”, I actually mean “I am watching, I own the TV”. Stay away from the remote control when I am watching a game.

M for Munich :
The Munich air disaster took place on the 6th of February 1958. The United team was on board. Eight United players and three United staffs died. It was a devastating and bleak day in the history of the Club. May you all rest in peace.

N for Newton Heath LYR: United was first formed in 1878, albeit under a different name - Newton Heath LYR!

O for Old Trafford : The Theatre of Dreams. Old Trafford’s capacity has reached in excess of 76,000, making it one of the most atmospheric and amazing stadiums of the world. It is the place where all dreams come true!

P for Paul: Paul Scholes is a rare talent. He is a player that makes you heart skips that little faster. He is a neat player, with the ability to convey great passes and of course, he score goals too. His contribution to the club is greatly known and oh boy,
I want to see him play till he turns 80!

Q for Quieroz: He used to be Sir Alex’s assistant coach, and an influential one too. He now coaches Portugal and is deeply missed!

R for Giggs: Living legend. Ryan Giggs is synonymous to United in many ways. He's got more than any other player in the club's history, 20 major honours to be exact. He has been with United since 1990 and today, he still is THAT superb.

S for Stretford End
: It is a stand of the west side of Old Trafford. Traditionally, the Stretford End houses United's most loyal and partisan supporters who prefer to stand and sing.

T for Trophies:We’ve got loads of them!! Visit our Trophy Room here.

U for United: It’s United! Do you know why I refer the club as United or MU and never as Man-Yoo? The origin of 'Man U' is a song to insult the late Duncan Edwards. The Leeds fans copied this with their own “Man U” versions to insult all of the lads who died at Munich. Saying “Man U” is an insult, particularly to the older supporters. A lot of rival fans got a good kicking for the 'Man U' insult.

V for Vidic: United’s defender. Vidic? You don’t want to mess with him. He can order Big Mac at Burger King, and gets it. He is this GREAT.

W for Wazza
: Wazza is Wayne Rooney’s nickname!

X for X’mas: X’mas time is a busy period in the English Premier League, where the fixtures are always packed! Good for me though. Parties and lots of football. Ahhh….

Y for YES:
YES, a zillion YES’es! I would love to go to Old Trafford!

Z for Zzzz:
Zzzz NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Football is so exciting. It’s so beautiful. Seriously, try to watch it. You don’t know what you are missing out on until you watch it. Until you love it!

So have you learnt your ABC's?

XOXO!
