Smiles as big as Stretford End...

:D

Okay. So we started the match not quite fantastically. Berbatov was left out of the starting line-up and this left Rooney as the sole striker. The reason was probably because Berbatov's work rate is too slow for a Arsenal-United match? This prove to be rather difficult and for a moment (and only one short moment). There, I was thinking, "Damn I miss that boy Ro-something".

Arshavin's goal was a beautiful one, a goal which I will painfully-but-whole-heartedly accept. Foster could have saved it but there was just too much space for Arshavin so the United's defenders should share the blame for that one. And like any other football matches where you have many breakthroughs, one of United's came when Almunia fouled Rooney.

I was sitting there. Palms cold. Heart barely beating.
Waiting. Hoping. Wishing.

He sets his target.

He shoots..

And he celebrates!

Adore Rooney. Adore his celebration. Adore his spirit!
Ahhh I just adore him. He is the definition of passion. Really.

Then came Diaby's owngoal. I am sorry for him and for Arsenal, I really am. But for a world-class defender to head in an own-goal like that? You only have your own carelessness to blame.

With Diaby's owngoal, Rooney went to Carrick, giving him an awesome hug, proving yet again that BROMANCE in football is at its best, LOL. Refer to picture below.

HAHAHA, now everybody repeat after me... AWWWWWWWWW!

After that it was United trying to score a third one to seal the deal and Arsenal trying to equalise.

It's a lot like game of Ping Pong, the concentration must be there every second. You make one silly pass or a silly tackle and it will cost you points.
And in the Premier League, points are EVERYTHING.

I was rather frustrated as we had chances after chances but to none taken! And uhhh, when the "5 Minutes" extra time sign was put up, I just had this bad feeling that Arsenal was going to net in a goal, in which Ven Persie "did". It was clearly an offside, no mistake about that.

So, there.
We won. We got all three points.

People can go on and rant about how "lucky" we were, how unfair, how sad yadda yadda.

Ok Arsenal probably didn't deserve to lose. (And I am not saying we didn't deserve to win. There is a difference).
But ultimately, these are the kinds of matches that Champions win and that's the best thing to take away from this game, we found a way to not lose. To not lose points. To win.

At the end of the day, it's either you continue fishing for pity or you swallow the bitterpill.

That's football. That's life.

:)

I saw this quote from the Internet. He sums it up pretty well.

"Three points in the bag, and hopefully a clear message: we are still the Champions, and you've got a long way to go to take our trophy away."
