Macheda WOAH!! Macheda WOAH!!

Old Trafford isn't called the Theatre of Dreams for nothing.

Football isn't the most popular sports in the world for nothing.

When you expect THIS MUCH, it gives you THIS MUCH MORE.

And it goes on.

All that buzz grilled to perfection.

That's the beauty of football.

:)

When 17-year-old Federico Macheda brilliantly curled the ball into the net,

Adrian and I flew (yes, flew) off the couch.

And we screamed.

It did not matter what time it was. Or that our throat might burst open.

And after the noisy passionate celebrations, I just stood in front of the telly watching the remaining two minutes or so.

Unfuckingbelievable.

Shaking.

Shaking.

I was shaking.

(LOL, sounds dramatic?
HELL YES.)

Words cannot and will not ever begin to describe that feeling you have when a team you love so much
wins in a manner and under the circumstances of
which mine did 30 minutes ago.

It seemed at some point that we were heading to a third consecutive defeat,
but sheer but not unfounded guts tell me that in football,
the best was always yet to come.

And when you believe hard enough, your wish is capable of being fulfilled.

The last time I was this excited for a United win was during the game in Moscow.
You'll know what I mean if you know what I mean.

It was a fantastic game of football.
Not within the greatness of THAT 1999 win in Nou Camp.

But close enough for me to lose my voice.

Well done, Ronny (not to be confused with Rooney) for scoring two amazing goals.

And, how clever it was (as usual) of Sir Alex to put a Macheda in.
It showed United's plight.
But ultimately it was this very substitution that made the difference.

And did you see how calm Sir Alex was during the entire match?
Benitez would have been yelling and yelling by the pitch!

We needed a galvanizing win, and we got it.

:)

Up next - Porto!
