Going green!

I am going on a full vegetarian diet for three days,
starting from today, the 1st of September, until Wednesday.

But why?

Well, I vowed that I will be vegetarian for three days if I pass my examinations.
And I freaking passed!! Yay!

:)

So, here I am!

:)

I gladly, happily, excitedly and readily can't wait to start!

:)

This is my first time embarking a full vegetarian diet for three days and I can't wait to start this wonderful experience!

Peace, ya'll!

Happy Day!

Happy Merdeka!

I am sure we all love this day because, well, it's a public holiday.

This year, my Merdeka Day will be like this;

Sleep until 1pm.
Wake up to have mommy's delicious nasi lemak lunch.
Enjoy a long hot shower.
Come online and blog about how GREAT my day have been thus far.
Watch TV.
Go for a walk in the park (If I am not too lazy, and if I can actually find a park to walk in)
Take another long hot shower.
Attend a relative's wedding dinner.
Come home.
If in mood, go out again, with friends.
Come home.
Watch TV or come online.
Read my Jurisprudence.
Sleep at 4am.

And because tomorrow is also a public holiday,
I am pretty sure my dear day will definitely be just as great!
LOL.

Oh by the way,
college starts on Tuesday.

Hurray!

My final year! Freaking final year!
I am a senior now! (Ahem!)

A fresh new beginning, a fresh new start.
Like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice!
Ooooh lala!

The four subjects that I will be taking in my final year are:
1) Family Law
2) Succession
3)Jurisprudence
4) Company Law

I am excitedddddddd!

Another step forward!

So much was at stake.

Time.

Money.

More time.

More money.

And so many other things.

I had to pass.

And someone please believe me when I say this,
it is not easy at all to pass.

My course is University of London's External Programme.
I am humbled to say that it is one of the toughest law courses ever.

Like I said in my previous post, my heart was beating so fast.
I was pretty sure I had the feeling of wanting to just faint throughout the day.

And guess what.

I PASSED.

I FREAKING PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words cannot describe how happy and thankful I am.

I can now proceed to my final year.

It is going to be a long and difficult journey ahead.
(Albeit one that I am sure I will enjoy)

I have to work many times as hard.

But at least I got through one hurdle.
I took another step forward.

Red hot Blue!

When I first found out that United will have a blue away jersey,
I had a hard time swallowing it in.

I mean. BLUE? Like, hello??
Knock knock.
Blue is so Chelsea!

United is supposed to be about RED.

Glowing, grilling, boiling, sizzling, blistering , smoking RED.
Not cold, bleak, chilly, frigid blue.

Damn.

But I do not see the blue kit with much repulsion anymore.

Why?
Because I was ignorant.
I was too shallow to the extent that anything blue reminds me of Chelsea.

I knew there must be a reason they decided on blue for the new kit,
but I did not bother to find out why.

My deepest and sincerest regret.

As a loyal United fan as I always see myself as, I should have known better.

Now I know.

This is what I found out from Manutd.com

United's new third kit has been inspired by the success of 1968, when the Reds wore blue while becoming the first English team to lift the European Cup.

To celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the momentous night, Nike has created a kit worthy of that great team and their famous 4-1 win over Benfica at Wembley.
United will therefore wear blue as their third kit for the 2008/09 campaign and as the preferred kit for this season's Champions League away matches.
The new blue shirt includes a number of details that celebrate the anniversary including the embroidery of the words 'May 29th 1968' and '40th Year Anniversary' around the crest.

Damn.
Just how f*cked up of me.

Sir Bobby Charlton and George Best wore blue jerseys when they lift the cup in 1968!!!!

So blue is indeed SMOKING HAWT!!!!!!!!!

(FYI,I obviously still loathe Chelsea!)

I get cranky if I don't do these!

The things I gota do everyday besides the usual eating, sleeping etc.

1) Read the newspaper
Some people look for food first thing in the morning,
some people turn on their laptop.
Me?
I have to get my hands on the newspaper.
If I walk out of from my room still looking groggy searching here
and there for something, my parents automatically tell me where the newspaper is.
I get very frustrated if I can't find it. Be warned.

2) Wash my hair
I HAVE to do it everyday,
or my hair gets as oily as the char koay teow you just had yesterday.

3) Watch the television
The television is probably one of the best inventions ever.
Thank you Vladimir Kosma Zworykin and Philo Taylor Farnsworth,
two inventors of modern television.
Thank you so very much.
My life is would have been miserable but for the television.

4) Come online
Facebooking. Blogging. Read blogs. Manutd.com. Read news (Politics.Sports.Entertainment)

5) Move my bowels
Yeah. Shitting, that is. I shit every single day.
I feel like I can't walk properly if I don't do it, you know?
Oh well I think you don't give a shit about my shitting schedule anyway.

6)Learn a new word
I open my dictionary, randomly select a word,
and write it on my white board.
And then try to remember that word, of course.

7)Drink at least 1.5 liters of water
I drink water all the time. It keeps me awake.
Like coffee, but without the caffeine.

8) Kiss both my parents goodnight.
Two kisses a day keeps the the worries at bay!
Yeah. I know, it's the sweetest thing :)

9)Daydream
It's nice to daydream you know.
You have full control of the storyline.
The tall-dark-and-handsome-French-dude or
that cute-dimpled-and-fair-Japanese guy?
If you daydream, you get to have BOTH.

10) Go to the gym and sweat it all off!
Hurrayyyyy!

:)

:)

:)

Okay. Number 10 is not true. I cheated.
I just want to make the list look healthy.
Haha.
I do not go to the gym everyday.
NOT ANYMORE at least.
Whatever happened to the gym-going me.

Back!

I am back from laughter-filled-KL-trip with lots of pictures and some added pounds.

-Adrian and Jo-Wyee's badminton tournament.
-The Chor Tai Tee sessions which I won only once
-Watching Harold&Kumar
-The NON STOP singing in the car
-Plenty of food
-Plenty of jokes
-Plenty sight-seeings

United's game is coming up soon and I am going to get ready for the match.
(Not only do the players have to warm up. I have to, too)

Gona let the pictures do the talking.
These are some of the many pictures we took in KL.
(I've uploaded more of them in Facebook)

With Adrian & Jo-Wyee in Genting. That was my 1627th trip up there.

Twins :) LOL

Met up with my godbrother in Setapak.

Looking hot in our sunnies.
We were both speaking English with some funny hot funny British accent during the entire trip!
I'm still stuck with it.

Fukkien mee. I don't really know how to spell it.
But I do know it is DELICIOUS.

A show-me-your-attitude pic

And a trip to TUGU NEGARA!

P.S: To Ashley Young, thanks for everything!!
We owe you a meal. Claim it when you come back to Penang! :)

Boundless

I packed my bag for my short trip to KL tomorrow.
It is just a three-day trip.

But my luggage?

They are as huge as a truck!

Like everyone else, I bring clothes, towel, shampoo,
toothpaste, a deck of card ;) and stuffs.

But it certainly feels like I am carrying some rocks, a television set and hundreds of 10kg dumbells!

Seriously.

I have no idea why.

So.

I’ll be away for the next three days.
No blogging for me until Monday!

I know you’ll miss me!
:)

I am not drowsy

The mood I am in : Laughing. Is this even a mood? Who cares. HAHAHA.

The book I am reading : Angels & Demons by Dan Brown

The CD playing in my radio now : James Morrison’s Undiscovered.

The fruit I am eating : Buah Langsat. LOL.

The food I am craving : Sushi. Argh. You know how it feels.

The drink I am wanting : Kopitiam’s kopi peng. Extra-KAO.

The movie I am loving : Pixar’s Wall-E

The cake I stored in the fridge and might eat after 11pm : Jenny’s Chocolate Cheese. WTF.

The word I find amusing as of now : Buah Langsat
(That’s 2 words eh. Ah whatever)

The food I just discovered : Roti sardin tambah pisang. Heh heh heh.

The show I am following on Starworld: Ugly Betty. Henry Grubstick is sexyyy!

The one thing I can’t wait to know : Whether United is buying a new striker. And who.

The things I am looking forward to : My short trip to KL; to go back to college; the Redbox outing with Spring Darling next week.
.
.
P.S: Thanks for the great night, Jia & Sui!
I'm pretty sure the synchronized swimmers did not "thiu kha kin"!
If they did, I will be laughing until I suffocate.

Pop!

Raise your hand if you love pop songs!

They are fun, upbeat and oh-so-poppy.

Remember when you were in Form Two and you came home
from school all frowning because some prefect caught
you with long fingernails and "awarded" you some demerit points.
And then you turned on the radio, still frowning.

And.
“Oops…I did it again….I played with your heart….”

Britney Spears (the pre-Kevin Federline version) singing
her heart out.

You smiled instantly.
Tapping your fingers on the table.
And your feet unconsciously tapped the floor too.
You nodded your head according to the beat.
Your lips parted.
And you started singing along.

Ooops..you think I’m in love…that I’m sent from above…
I'M NOT THAT INNOCENT!"

I remembered when I sang that I’m-not that-innocent line,
I really sincerely believed I was NOT that innocent.

HAHA, how innocent. HAHAHA.

Indeed, pop songs that have made our lives brighter..better…happier!

Pop songs that……..

-I loved
-I still love
- I wish the radio plays more often
- I have to sing each time I go to Redbox
- Reminds me of the good old days ( Not that I am very old now, ok)

1) Sometimes – Britney Spears
2) Stop – Spice Girls
3) Bye Bye Bye – N’sync
4) Genie In The Bottle – Christina Aguilera
5) Miss You Like Crazy – The Moffats
6) Shape Of My Heart – Backstreet Boys
7) If I Let You Go- Westlife
8) Livin La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin
9) Sunshine After The Rain - 98 Degrees
10)Believe- Cher

N’sync .
Oh I was their BIGGEST fan back then. I adore Justin’s little curls!
And,they say it best in their song “POP”.
Below is the chorus part of the song.
.
.
.

Do you ever wonder why
This music gets you high?
It takes you on a ride
Feel it when your body
Starts to rock(Your body starts to rock)
Baby you can't stop(You can't stop)
And the music's all you got
Come on now
This must be, pop
.
.
.
Must be it!

Hey you

Hey you.

How are you?

I hope you are doing as great as I am.

I want a full body massage.
Hopefully from George Clooney.
With a ribbon tied to him, sent to my doorstep.

Hey you.

I want that Forever 21 handbag I saw,

but obviously can’t afford to buy.

Hey you.
I want to swim.
I want to do my laps.

Hey you.
Do you watch the Olympics?
You should.

The Olympians.
Their strengths are out of this world, you know?
I’m just always amazed.

.

.
Hey you.
.
.
Love always,
Me.

Are you ready?

First match of the season.

Two points dropped.

I would love to see it as one point gained.

But with the Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all taken full three points,
it just isn’t a very good way to start the season.

But you do not give excuses.
You buck the f*ck up.
You train that much harder.
You play that much better.

Dropping points have since become something that is part of winning.
In fact, not winning makes me feel more passionate. LOL.
It makes me want more.
It makes me want to be there for them more.

Today’s match proved me right.
It is going to be a hell of a journey in the EPL.

But you know I am not afraid.
You know I am loving it.

Bring it, baby.

UNITED FOR LIFE!

Sexy silver!

Chong Wei lost.
Absolutely no fight.

He just could not find the way to stop Lin Dan.
He was not the usual him.
I am heavyhearted.

Sigh.

I can only sigh.

The gold medal?
It’s not ours.

.
.
.
.
.
.

But then, beyond our disappointment,
let’s give Chong Wei his deserved recognition.

Without a doubt, he deserves some credit.
A lot of credit, in fact.

Winning and losing is always part of the game.

Chong Wei, after all,
WON A SILVER! !!!!
And silver is sexyyyyy!

I am a natural optimist, so I choose to look from the positive side.

Malaysia’s only Olympian who won a medal in Beijing,
I am proud of you!!!!!!!!

Golden dream!!

As I am typing this, there are about 2 more hours
before Chong Wei takes on Lin Dan.

And my heart has already stopped pumping.

DAMN.

I want him to win so badly.

I’ll be taking out all the Malaysia flags that I have,
stick my fat ass on the couch,
and cheer my heart out ( It’s not pumping anymore rmb)

My fellow Malaysians,

This is one of those times where we can all be one
single happy team.

Cheering for a same purpose,
sharing a same FREAKING dream.

Chong Wei, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy ever after!

Think about this.

lWhat if the prince decided not to find Cinderella after she left him on that starry starry night.

Or that her shoes did not fall off?
And he could not track her down.

k
What if he gave up when she actually still think of him every day?

j

And they did not meet for the rest of their lives.
Not having the chance to test their love.

g
As a prince, of course, he found a new princess.
And poor Cinderella, she just stayed home, did the same old chores.

Eh?

Not very romantic?

Too sad?

Pathetic?

Yeah.

Let’s just stick to the happy-ever-after-with-Cinderella-in-the-story version.

I like this version better.
I am sure u do too.

To happily-ever-after, CHEERS! ;)

Shaken or stirred?

Weekends.

You gotta love them!

They are like;

A big loud Metallica concert.
A grandiose Celine Dion show.
A fancy Pussycat Dolls performance.

Whichever is your beloved type.

Myself?

I like them all just as much.

Sometimes I like my weekends to be loud and bold.
Sometimes I love it the laid-back style.
Most of the time, I prefer a bit of both.

Weekends come once every FIVE DAYS ok!
That is like 120 hours!

I’ll be an ass if I don’t to enjoy them.
LOL.

It does not have to be a road-trip with my gang or some fancy birthday party.

I’ll just make myself a cup of hot milo and go on a Nip/Tuck marathon!
Hot surgeons, you know!
Makes my weekend straight away!

Well for this weekend, I do not need any hot doctors on my TV because;

I have a prom night to attend.
Whoohoo!

I get to spend time with my nephew and niece.
(Bought my nephew a UNITED jersey btw. Wakakakakakaka!)

Looking forward to Chong Wei’s match against Lin Dan. C’mon!!!!

And of course……

UNITED vs Newcastle on Sunday night!
The new season has begun!!!

Weekends.

They rock big time!

Go Chong Wei!

MALAYSIA’S LEE CHONG WEI PROCEEDS TO THE FINALS!

Yay! Yay! Yay!
I am so happpppppy!!

Wheeeeee!

Let’s all give him our full support this Sunday alrite?!

It is going to be so exciting!

If you haven’t already known, our Malaysian government is awarding RM300,000 to every silver medalist and
a FREAKING RM 1 MILLION for winning a gold medal.

So he is RM300,000 richer already!

But of course, we all want to see him bringing back home our first ever gold medal, eh!!!

OMG GOLD! GOLD OK?? GOLD!
Like, GOLD!!!
I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

It is going to be a fantastic but tough tough match, let’s pray for the best!!

GO GO GO CHONG WEI!!!

Btw, Chong Wei is a Penangite! Makes me even more proud.
Teehee!

P.S: Currently reading A Place Called Here ; by Cecelia Ahern

Love prevails..

I am, unambiguously, in love with the study and understanding of law.
It is such an exquisite field.
.
Like a yummy bowl of laksa, oh-makes-my-mouth-water,
I eat it, and I am satisfied;
but I will want more.
..
What is law?
(Cheesy over-used question I know)

What to do and what not to do?
How will you be punished if you do what you are not supposed to?
A set of rules written in books?
Our constitution?

Law has always been hard to define, and will continue to be so.

It is so many things in one.
The diversity of it is what makes it so ravishing.

How is law and morality interconnected?
Does law need to be based on the orthodox understanding of what is acceptable in the society?

In my law studies;
I learned about the common law tradition, structure of the courts, the interpretation of statutes, the constitution, the separation of powers. (Huh???)

And there are Criminal Law, Tort Law, Land Law, Law of Trusts and Family Law, amongst the many many others. (Huh???)

Law of Tort is one of my best-loved subjects of all time.
It is hard to define this area of law so let me just give you an example.

Consider this;

A two-year-old boy suffered from respiratory failure while in hospital.
The doctor had failed to intubate him and as a result, he suffered brain damage.

(Yes the above is true. It happened in the UK in 1997)

1) Can the patient sue? Does he sue the doctor? Or the hospital?

2) Does it makes a different if the doctor is a junior inexperienced doctor?

3) What if the doctor says that he had already done his best? Is this enough to exclude him from liability?

4) Are the opinions of other doctors relevant in relation to this?

5) Who is to judge the opinions of the other doctors? The judge?

You see.
That is when lawyers come in ;)
That is why we go to law school. Hehe.

It is very interesting, eh?
It is not all that dry or boring.
(Although yes, sometimes it is!! Argh! )

But, just like how life as an intern in the hospital is nowhere as steamy and dreamy as how Grey’s Anatomy portays it to be, law is not as glamorous as it is in Boston Legal.

But then, what do I know.
I just halfway through my law degree.

I am not ashamed to admit this. I am struggling with it sometimes.

There are cases after cases to memorise.
Principles after principles to understand.

It is hell.
Especially when it is near examinations.
Yes, that period of time when your stress level is higher than Malaysia’s petrol price and inflation rate.

But then again, I took up law at the first place because I was looking for challenges.

Something that pushes me to the utmost.

Something that stimulates my naughty little big brain who has strong urges to wander away to the Shopping-Land, Mamak-Land, Internet-Land and heck, every single play-related land on Earth.

I asked for mental stimulations and big bold challenges.

And wtf, I am so getting them.
I am getting them all.

I deplore them.
But I also cherish them.
It is like a love-hate relationship.

But thank goodness, I love them more than I hate them.

Love prevails!! Yay!

P.S: Results will be out soon. OMGGGGG.
And Chong Wei proceeds to the semifinals!
.

Last one standing

Tan Boon Heong and Koo Kien Keat lost;
.
.
They lost to the first seed pair of Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan in
the quaterfinals.
.
.
They are out of the Olympics.
Sobs.
.
I did punch my fists up in the air, I did cheer my throat out;
I did everything a fan watching from home miles away from Beijing can.
.
But they just could not get pass the World Champions from Indonesia.
:(
.
.
Only Lee Chong Wei is left in our verge for Malaysia's
first ever gold medal.
..
I hope real hard that Chong Wei can do some wonders and make our dreams come true.
.
Will be keeping my all my fingers tightly crossed....

Fists in the air!

Mew Choo is out of the Olympics.
She just lost to Lu Lan of China 7-21, 27-29.
Yes, a freaking 27-29 in the second game.
.
I was screaming my head off -
shouting ala 300 (the movie) style;
With my mouth wide open..
Fist up in the air.
Punching and punching.
.
And punching.
.
Like my life was at stake. LOL.
.
.
She was so so close.
She could have pushed the game to a rubber set.
And it would have been a different story.
.
But she did not make it.
.
Albeit the lost, she certainly made Malaysia proud.
Well, she made me proud.
.
She put up a great fight.
She did not give up, and I could see the sheer determination and spirit in her eyes.
.
.
.
It is always matches like these that makes me feel oh-so-Malaysian.
.
You know?
.
I hate that the oil-price in Malaysia went up so high.
I hate that our education system sucks.
And need I say more about how some of our politicians are behaving.
.
.
But at times such as now,
watching our Malaysian team out there in Beijing
pushing hard, persevere and fighting till their last drop of sweat;
.
I just can't help but feel that my spirit and love are all being revived.
.
It is amazing what sports can do to bring us all together.
.
.
For now, I can't wait for Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong's match
against the Indonesians.
.
My fists are going to be busy punching the air again.
Malaysia Boleh!!!

I miss college!

Wana see a tiara-wearing girl?
.
.
.
She has blue eye-lashes,
blushed cheeks,
thick black eyebrows,
and wears a lovely pearl necklace.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Look no further!
.
.
.
TADA!
.

Like it?
.

(Thank you Jack, for inspiring me to edit my pictures
with the Paint programme..hehe)

.
Okay, I don't think you might think this picture is funny, or even cute.

All I know is,
Sometimes I am this ridiculous and this vain and this bored...
I don't feel like a 21-year-old with responsibilities. You know what I mean?

I wana go back to college!
.
To listen to my lecturers speak with such wisdom..
To try not falling asleep during lectures...
To have assignments stacked up high waiting for me to complete...
Oh...and to feel the love of law...hahahaha...
.
Can't wait for holidays to be over. Really!
(But don't get me wrong, I do love holidays....a lot.)

Going Banana's!

My whole body is in pain.
Every muscle in my body.
My arms, legs, back, neck.
.
.
Hehehe.
The price you pay for having a whole lot of fun over the weekend!
.
.
I was in Batu Feringghi with my classmates.
Any outing with my classmates always mean that
there will be plenty of laughs.
.
And boy, we had plenty of laughs indeed.
.
Besides the glorious food and the fun games we played all night long,
it was the Banana Boat ride that was the most EXCITING.
.
Not only the boat went so so fast, it OVERTURNED!
In the middle of the freaking sea~~~!!!!
.
I was not afraid of the drowning. We have our life-jackets on.
Besides, I swim pretty well.
Not Michael-Phelps-standard obviously but I have been swimming my whole life.
.
BUT.
.
.
I swim in the swimming pool, you know. Not right in the middle of the big big sea.
.
It certainly felt like we were deserted in the middle of the BIG BLUE OCEAN.
Surrounded my sharks. BIG HUMAN-EATING SHARKS.
.
.
Okay maybe not sharks, but how about jellyfish!?

What if the jellyfish stings me?
Someone would have to pee on me!
And my whole weekend would have been ruined.
.
.
And there are alot of stingrays in the sea!
I fish once in awhile and believe me, we always catch a lot of stingrays.
What if the stingrays decided that my feet looked tasty and wanted a sting?
OMG!
.
Or what if the fish nibbles my feet?
Ewwww.
Then I don't have to pay RM28 for the Fish Spa in New World Park.
Free feet nibbling by sea creatures. Right in the middle of the sea. Anyone?
.
.
LOL.
.
Nevertheless, falling off the boat was actually fun. It was still scary. But it was fun.
We did enjoy the ride to the utmost.
And laughed our hearts out just by thinking of the adventure we had.
.
.
My body is aching as I am typing this,
but it was all worth it.
.
Guys, thanks for the amazing weekend! MUAHH!
.
.
P.S: United retained the Community Shield title. Great start to the new season. Wheee!

Quickie

1) Gona have a freaking amazing time this weekend.

Sun, sea & sand!

Friends, food & fun!

Whoooohooooo!

.

2) The opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics was BEAUTIFUL.

I was (and still am) mesmerised.

The fireworks.Beautiful.

The performances. Beautiful.

Not just beautiful beautiful, but like OMG-what-the-heck beautiful

All that with my mouth wide-open in awe.

And the 29 footsteps fireworks thingy. Awesome.

I was goosebump-ed (Is this even a word)

Well if you watched it, you know what I mean.

If you have not, go watch it now.

.

3) I'm down with flu the whole of today :(

Ahh-chooo ahh-chooo nonstop!

.

4) I want Coffee Bean. Right now.

The Ice-Blended's...

Mocha. The Ultimate. Sunrise. Malibu Dream.

Gosh I miss working there.

Miss making my own cappuccino. My own macchiato. My own cafe mocha.

I even miss the food (Coffee Bean serves yummy food btw)

The Chicken Lasagna.

The Chef's Tuna. The Egg Club Sandwich. The Salmon Scramble.

Damn.

.

5) Well I'm off for my great weekend ahead...

Make sure you have a great one too! :)

Malaysia Boleh!

The Beijing Olympics 2008 starts today!

There will be plenty of sports action on Astro, and I am so loving it.

These are what I got after I Googled "Interesting Facts on the Olympics"

1) The last Olympic gold medals that were made entirely out of
gold were awarded in 1912.

2) When choosing locations for the Olympic Games, the IOC specifically gives the honor of holding the Games to a city rather than a country.
(For eg; It’s Beijing 2008, not China 2008)

3) Women were first allowed to participate in 1900 at
the second modern Olympic Games.

4) The word "gymnasium" comes from the Greek root "gymnos" meaning nude; the literal meaning of "gymnasium" is "school for naked exercise." Athletes in the ancient Olympic Games would participate in the nude. (OMG!)

5) The Olympic torch is designed to withstand winds of up to 65 kms per hour.

6) Larrisa Latynina, a gymnast from the former Soviet Union,
finished her Summer Olympic Games career with 18 total medals—by far the most in history.

Facts on Malaysia at 2008 Olympics:

1) Malaysia has a total of 33 athletes in Beijing.

2)The Malaysian contingent sent to Beijing was the biggest since 1956.

3)The sports we are competing in are aquatics (diving and swimming), archery, athletics, cycling, sailing, shooting, taekwondo, weightlifting and of course, badminton.

As we all ought to have known,
Malaysia have never won a gold medal in the entire history of the Olympics.

The best we ever had was a silver, won by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock in 1996.
Kudos to them.
But....
That was like, more than one decade ago!

This time around (like every other time I suppose),
our best bet for a medal is in badminton...
But it is obviously not any easier if not much harder for our shuttlers.
Lin Dan and Co will be having a home ground advantage,
and let’s not forget the South Koreans, Indonesians and even the Danes and Japanese.
Basically the whole world. LOL.

It’s toughhhhhh and tougherrrrrrrrr-er!

But they say, you can only be the best if u beat the best!
All we can do is to NOT lose faith in our players.
They need our support and I am going to make sure they get mine :)

C'mon Malaysia!

All is well :)

Cristiano Ronaldo remains at United.

I am glad.
Very glad.
NOT that I am glad he stays.

I just glad the whole STUPID Ronaldo-is-leaving crap has finally ended.
Like I said before, he stays or leaves,
all is well.

Loathe it or like it, Ronaldo,
possibly the world’s best player of the moment ;
is staying.

Ronaldo has spoken out in an interview with Portugese newspaper Publico.

He said,

“So, I can confirm that I'll be playing for Manchester United next season. And before there are any rumours and speculation about me staying against my will, I want to make one thing clear: whoever says or writes anything to that effect is lying. I'll be playing at Manchester United with my heart and soul. I will fight and honour the shirt with the same desire and dedication as I always have.”

For the full interview, see here.

Well said.

I forgive you.

Many of the United fans out there might not be able to forget and forgive as easily as me,
and they obviously have very, very good reasons.

But I see no reason in hating him now.

I have never hated him over the past 3-months anyway.
I was just....not bothered.
Okay, so I was a little angry and disappointed.
Which sane United fan wouldn't, after all the rubbish that has happened.

But for now, the Ronaldo-saga?
It’s all over.
We can shift our attention to the club now;
where it matters!!
Meanwhile....
Rooney and Carrick are struggling with some virus they caught in Nigeria.
:(

Nani is also out on suspension, and Anderson is in Beijing.
:(

Ronaldo will be out for sure due to his ankle surgery.
:(
Hargreaves and Park Ji-Sung are out too.
:(
And Gary Neville (oh how i missed him) is still having calf problems.
:(
Gotta HATE the damned injuries!!
Get well soon, guys!!
Heal, recover, be well!
Nevertheless, I trust Sir Alex will come up with something
to make sure United start the season with a BIG BANG!
:)

Bring it on!

The moment Van Der Sar blocked Anelka's penalty.
Ahh joy.

The new season of English Premier League is starting soon!
Yayyyyy!

This means that

I AM THE HAPPIEST GIRL ON EARTH!
Three months!! Grrr!
Three months without my healthy dosage of;

1) Seeing Rooney running past John Terry

2)Watching Vidic and Ferdinand pairing up to keep the strikers out

3) Being amazed by Hargreaves curving in a great free kick

4)Cheering my lungs out upon Tevez heading in a goal

5)Being serenaded by Giggs performing some good ol’ football magic

6) Seeing cute Sir Alex chewing his chewing gum during the matches!!

And my wait will be over soon!
Whooohoooo!

The new season looks oh-so-delicious!

Chelsea brought Deco and Scolari over to England.

Arsenal purchased Aaron Ramsey.
And Liverpool have Roby Keane to partner Torres.
Keegan has already signed Jonas Gutierrez and Danny Guthrie.
Spurs now have David Bentley and Giovani dos Santos .

Everyone’s buying everyone!

It is going to be a TOUGH season ahead.

The race is going to be so tight....
I'm going to despise and love it at the same time!

But bring it on!

Also, with all the STUPID saga over Christiano Ronaldo wanting to leave for Real Madrid,
it is easy to get distracted.

Let's just remind ourselves that United have just won a DOUBLE.
We have had an AMAZING beyond AMAZING season.

But Sir Alex have said and said it well;
He wants to still see the HUNGER burning strong in the players' eyes...

The last thing that we need is to get complacent.
Never get too carried away.

P.S: I love Ronaldo dearly for he had contributed significantly for United over the last season. But seriously, we all have a life to live.
If he stays, he stays. Good. Keep scoring.
If he leaves, then so be it.
I couldn’t be bothered by the saga.

The club is what I care about.
JUST BRING ON THE NEW SEASON! :D

When reading is this plesurable...

The Da Vinci Code
I know millions of people all over the world have already read, loved, re-read the book.

And the book is even Hollywood-ed ( I have not watched the movie-version too)

And I am just reading it for the first time.

But who cares.

I LOVE IT.
I LURRRRRRRRVE IT.

Dan Brown is a genius. And I think this is an understatement.
I am just at Page 134 of the Special Illustrated Collector's Edition.
I have not even reached the halfway mark yet.

But I am already hooked.

Like a little hungry fish reaching for the deliciously tantalizing worm bait.

The story is too clever.
Astonishing.

ENGROSSING.

Chapters after chapters, I just could not stop.
I could not stop thinking what is going to happen next.
What is this. Why this. When? Who? How!

I should not be here blogging.

My mind is begging me to go back to my reading.
I have to go now.

It's not rocket science!

I only wear my spectacles when I watch TV, use the computer, drive at night, watch movies, attend lectures and perv at boys.

So I thought I can survive without contact lenses.

But then;

Watching TV, using the computer, driving, attending lectures, watching movies and perving at boys are the things I do all the time.
All the time except when I sleep.

This means that I do need to wear contact lenses afterall.
So I bought a pair.

Grrrr.

25 minutes.

That was how long I took TRYING to put my contact lenses into my eyes.
Why did the lenses refuse to get inside my eyes?

Grrrr.

I did not know this is going to be this difficult.

After 25 freaking minutes,
I gave up, put them back into the little contact lense storage thingy, and put on my spectacles.

Grrrr.

But I'm not giving up.
I've come this far.

Putting contact lenses inside my eyes is not rocket science.
Damn it's not even Form Four Physics or (gasp!) Standard Three science.

Everyone else can do it.
I am sure I can do it too.
:)
And oh, Im currently obssessed with Fergie's song entitled "Finally".

P.S: Jarryd, you also call a chick with a soccerball the 21-year-old who does not know how to wear her own contact lenses.
Hehe.

Ole Ole Ole..

This entry is a tribute to OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER.
A living legend of United.

Throughout his 11 years at Old Trafford, he scored 126 goals altogether.

And who could forgot that spectacular goal he scored in against Bayern Munich in Barcelona on that night in 1999. The night we became the Champions of Europe for the second time.

His goals are goals of worthiness. Goals that are to be remembered. Goals he fought hard for.

He is hardworking.
He is humble.
He is a true athlete. (He is cute, too. But..he's happily married, girls!)
He retired from playing professionally on the 27th of August 2007 and damn, how I miss him.

An Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Testimonial match was held on the 2nd of August in Old Trafford in which United won 1-0, thanks to a goal from Fraizer Campbell.
Ole looked as sharp as ever during his 25 minutes on the field, and it just makes me miss him more.

But this is not goodbye.

Ole is now is part of the United family, as he is a full-time Reserve team manager.

Ole ole ole...Baby-faced assassin!

Lemonade & Lettuce

Report for Sunday's BBQ party;

1) The food- It was delicious. It was toothsome. It was savory.

2) The food- It was flavored. It was appetizing. It was aromatic.

3) The drinks - You can never go wrong with bottled soft drinks. And lots of ice.

4) The weather - Surprisingly perfect. It was cloudy, like it was going to rain. But it did not. Just nice for a BBQ party.

5)The company - The people whom I cherish oh-so-very-much. What more can I say. Plenty of laughs and love.

6) The food - It was yummy. It was scrumptious. It was I-think-I-just-ran-out-of adjectives.

7) The desserts- We have an Okay-I'll-only-eat-one-piece-because-I'm-stuffed-already-but-then-damn-I-want-another-one-because-it-rocks chocolate-chip cake, some jelly and lots and lots of of ice-cream.

Ahh...a party with all of the above just makes my any day.

(There was neither lemonade nor lettuce at the party. The title was totally random :p)

I am excited!

I am having a BBQ party tonight, with my cousin sisters and brothers.
I am of course, very excited. With so much food, fun and more fun awaiting, it is crazy not to be excited.

However,

BBQ = 60kg of chicken +100 packs of sausages + 100 pounds of lamb + 69 kg of beef

Which means; after tonight,

Jaryn's weight = 10 mother elephants + 5 baby elephants + 6 cows + 3 whales + 3 lions put together

I am excited. I am going to be so many things at one time.

Kickstart

Finally. I'm here.
I have been blogging in LiveBlog Facebook for awhile but it is time for a change.
I adore changes (my ever-changing hairstyle for example) because well, I get bored easily.
So here I am.

A warm welcome my dear readers.

What better way to start this than talking about the one thing that I am obsessedly passionate about? :)

I am a regular MUG-ger.

MUG is Manchester United Group in Facebook.
It is the best Facebook group ever.
Updates, transfer speculations, pictures, videos, debates.
Anything, everything United.

Endless intelligent discussions. In MUG, I get to meet fans from all over the world. Those who have season tickets to Stretford End, you know.

And one of the ever-occuring topic in MUG is about fans of United being glory-hunters and glory-hunters only.

Well, I always have one say to this.

I cry when United loses.
I cry when United wins.

I was unknowingly turning into a United girl.

I have never been to old trafford and I watched United play since 1999. I was 12 then. United have been a successful club already by then, but does that makes me any less worthy of a true fan? NO.

Yes, United won the treble in 1999. And that was perhaps the victory that made me took notice of United. I am admitting that.

But be fair; United is a very very succesful club and being such, it is just normal and totally inevitable that United have the biggest fan base around the world.

It is globalisation at its best (Besides Mcdonalds of course).
And it is not a bad thing.
It is one love.
Corny, yes, but if there is something the world needs more of, it's love.

It is and will always going to be difficult to gauge passion, but why even question it when we are supposed to be one big happy double-winning family?

And come on, which sane fan want to see her team glory-less.
We all love glory.
It is our nature.
I know I will stand by United no matter what. I know that.

United have lost many a game and I stood by them, but some say this is not a test stern enough to gauge passion and loyalty.

They say if one day United shall somehow slack and play in the lower divisions (It’s not going to happen but then again who knows,TOUCH THE FREAKING WOOD).................
That, my friend, is when the real test awaits me.

And if i so fail the test, then by all means, call me a glory-hunter.

But until then, stop judging and start loving.

(Yes, I love United THIS much)
